This afternoon at 15:34 hours, Station 56 was alerted to respond to the intersection of John F. Kennedy Blvd and New Brunswick Rd for a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle smoking. Car 56 and Rescue 56 responded with a crew of 6. While en route, units were advised that multiple callers reported one vehicle had overturned. Units arrived to a three car MVC with negative entrapment. Crews operated on scene for approximately 40 minutes.

Route 287 Trailer Rollover
At approximately 1300 hours this afternoon, Station 56 was dispatched with Franklin District 1 to a reported overturned motor vehicle on 287 south. Upon arrival, Car 56 confirmed a camper had overturned with another vehicle leaving the roadway, there was no entrapment. Rescue 56, Engine 562, and Van 56 responded. Crews secured onboard propane tanks and assisted the towing company with up righting the camper. Units operated for approximately 3 hours, with District 1 answering 2 additional calls during that time.
District 3 Apartment Fire
Just after 2AM this morning Station 56 was alerted to respond mutual aid into Franklin District 3 for a working fire in an apartment. Upon Rescue 56’s arrival, Rapid Intervention Crew duties were assumed and crews were later reassigned to assist with ventilation.
De Palma Ct Structure Fire
This morning at 01:34 hours stations 56 and 44 were dispatched to De Palma Ct for the reported structure fire. Chief 56 arrived and confirmed a working fire and requested a first alarm assignment. Engine 562 arrived first due and stretched a 1 3/4 line and was able to quickly knock the fire. Engine 561 arrived minutes after and was assigned primary search of the fire building and the adjacent units. Utility 56 assisted other District units with overhaul and Car 562 had operations. After the fire was placed under control crews remained on scene to ventilate adjacent units. All units were clear in approximately 2 hours.
Commerce Drive Trailer Fire
Yesterday morning at 07:40 hours District 1 was dispatched to Frito Lay on Commerce Drive for the reported motor vehicle fire. Chief 28 arrived and had smoke showing from a 53 foot trailer parked in the lot with no exposures. Engine 562 , Utility 56, and Van 56 responded with a crew of 7. Upon their arrival they assisted the crew of Engine 44-1 and the FM8 units with gaining access to the trailer and extinguishment. The bulk of the fire was knocked and crews started extensive overhaul. All units were clear in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
